Re: Injury List - 2020
Hopefully we have at least one of Bruce or Naughton on deck for round 1.

Re: Injury List - 2020
Hopefully Duryea can return to the seniors by round 6.
He and Crozier are real leaders down back and last season we looked a lot more settled with them both up and running.
Suckling, Duryrea and Crozier have all been very astute additions to our playing group.
More of an In Bruges guy?

No mention of Bruce is hopefully a good sign.

Re: Injury List - 2020
So Richards is going to miss at least as long with concussion as Williams was suspended for. Cool!

It’s a *!*!*!*!ing farce.. in light of recent events they need to start treating this shit seriously.

Re: Injury List - 2020
Last two will be available first game so they are irrelevant to the season injuries and Naughton might miss the first game.
We are in a pretty good position injury wise compared to some teams although they are good players injured.

Re: Injury List - 2020
For me Libba is the biggest concern as he has had all pre-season to get over his knee issues.
Yes overall for each player, the weeks are very conservative, but you know what I prefer that.

I love Libba but he is a player we can a cover pretty well. Naughton would be a far bigger loss.

Libba is a necessity against more physical teams. I will continue to believe that until our current young players prove that they can handle the heat.

Who does he come in for though? Most best 22 teams struggle to fit him in. Bont, Macrae, Dunkley, Lipinski and Smith are our first choice mids right now with Hunter on the wing. I like Wally forward but he can take the odd rotation too.

We've assembled a very good midfield - and not to say they're not physical, but who there is going to get in the opposition's face and let them know we're not going away when we're challenged like Libba has done?
Reckon the only one it comes naturally to in that group is Bailey Smith, and it's his second year.
Can Dunkley turn into this guy?
(and just to clarify - Josh is hard as nails in the contest, this is about more than that)

Still, who do you drop for Libba? There are only so many spots in the side and coming off an interrupted pre-season where his knee has taken longer to recover than expected... I'm going to go with the fit guys who are ahead of him right now.
I expect he returns via the VFL and has to earn his spot back the hard way.
Libba can only play midfield.

Will be good to see Bruce in action. Very happy how Alex Keath went in the first Marsh game.
