Candidate, a newly proposed member is called a candidate. It's nowhere near as much fun unfortunately.
But there is this bit...
Actually if I told you that then I'd have to kill you and I like you too much B4L.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Has it changed to a secret elbow bump in these Covid times?
Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell
Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath
And we all found heaven - 2016 Premiers!

Re: Essendon
2 headlines on the Hun right now (sorry having trouble linking from my phone, but you know how to Google):
Saad deal hits roadblock as Dons stand firm
Dons dig heels in over Fantasia exit
Never change Dodo. Never change.
This is why I’m pretty sure Dunkley won’t get there unless we totally *!*!*!*! up.

That has to be a piss take?
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Pick 28 or thereabouts is more than fair by Port. Any other club would take it and move on to their other deals.

When will someone in the media finally expose Dodoro for what he is?

He obviously read an 80s book on negotiation where it tells you to start with an outrageous opening position and then whittle it away until you get what you're happy with. This just ends up tying up resources and stalling other deals for the entirety of the trade week, and makes the whole thing completely painful.

Dodoro negotiating with the Dentist:

I can't remember the last trade period that wasn't all about Essendon. But I do remember they haven't won a final since 2004.
This show just entered its second season:
Dodoro by any measure has been an abject failure.
"I'll give him a hug before the first bounce and then I'll run into my pack and give them orders to rip him apart."

Back when I was involved in unions we called them ambit claims. If you were looking for an industry pay rise then go with something ridiculous like 27% that the employer group was never going to agree with and allow yourself to be beaten down to something that was agreeable to both sides. Say 4-6%. Everyone wins, the union gets a good outcome for their members, the bosses got to look like they stood up for themselves.
Problem was that hubris began to set in and neither side wanted to look like it was backing down so the ambit claims became actual claims and nothing ever got done. Lots of activity, nothing achieved. I think I know which stage Dodorro (egged on by the likes of Sheedy) is stuck in.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
