Re: WB Game Day V Carlton R8 2021

We were poor that second quarter and I’m sure Be o will reset a few things. We can still get over them but it’s not going to be easy. We need more from Bont, Crozier, Naughton and JJ.

Funny enough I’m confident we will win this one.
    BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

Our main issue is we have too many players playing positions that don’t suit their best traits..it’s like our whiteboard is a puzzle, where pieces don’t always fit where you place them.

The way we are playing right now, and with our draw coming up, we will be lucky to make the 8. Who would’ve thought.

It's been that way for years.

What roles are Crozier, Daniel, Scott, JJ, Hunter, Lipinski, Smith playing? They're all absolutely at sea.

Chalk and cheese to the good sides who all have defined roles and perform them well.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Well their players seem to be working a lot harder when they don’t have the ball, to get back, help out, pressure.
Bont, smith, lipinski, JJ, Daniel in particular are just labouring. We look flat, disinterested, tired, and not willing to do the basics well, if at all.

I think Bont rolled his ankle on the bench-side early in that quarter. Was noticeably proppy after that. Unfortunately, his kicking was terrible before that as well.

Gifting goals to unopposed players out the back of contests is sh!tting me.

So which of our mids is going to be willing to forget their ego and do some dirty work to fill the massive hole Dunkley has left?

Naughton isn't a natural forward, runs under the ball time and time again. Doesn't time his leads well at all.

Lipinski is on the wing and has had one kick... our B&F winning wingman is battling in the forward-line.

We have too many in the forwardline with no natural forward instincts, and then don’t work hard defensively.

Totally agree. We don’t look like a team right now.

What's happened to his decision making with longer field kicks?
I nearly popped a foofer valve.

He must be injured he isn't chasing at all when they have it.

Lets get his contract sorterd, give him 5 years and move on.

    Hunter forward is not working.

Look we have played some very ordinary football but there is still a half to go. We've missed some very easy shots (5) and they butchered 3 in a row after McNeil hit the post.

Bont tried very hard to lift us in the 2nd quarter. I think he might be injured. We have to make every post a winner. If Carlton continue to play well we are going to lose this game.

We’re not far off breaking this one open. Just need to grind a little longer and tighten up our ball use by foot in the front half of the ground.

    Buku looks the goods.

Carlton have shown they don’t need that many inside 50’s to score. I’m expecting they’ll only need another 15 to sew this match up.
