What are we challenging for??
I don't get the love for West right now. He's Lachie McNeil with a famous surname.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Agree he has been very poor the last few weeks.

If we challenge, no doubt it’ll get upgraded. We get shafted there, or are so bad at it we shoot ourselves.
Club is piss weak off field in the footy department as well as on field.
Where’s the spirit. PICK A FIGHT FFS.

Nailed it, better to keep the powder dry in this instance.

Re: Tribunal / suspensions 2024
I think he deserved the suspension.
He clearly saw the opponent and directed his momentum at him, enacting a shoulder bump into the players head. What mitigation can be leveraged once you've viewed the footage?
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I thought the same. Was on the milder side but he did it.

Yeah that was my thought. The only point of mitigation is that Waterman drops a little just before contact. Yes had a quiet one this week, but wasn't alone and has been one of the better players this season - his game against the Saints was first rate. Numerous score involvements. He reads the play better than most of our side.

Re: Tribunal / suspensions 2024
I think West was unlucky in the fact his hips are so low to the ground he probably thinks no one’s head would be that low in that situation, last year that would have been called good body work.

Re: Tribunal / suspensions 2024
Higgins suspension is upheld.
Why isn't the league suspending players who refuse to protect themselves from hitting the ground head first? Surely if you know you're caught and the choice is between getting rid of the ball and having your own head caved in, you should protect yourself from the latter.......
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Didn't West's shoulder hit the opponent's head? West is 6ft tall!

I'm genuinely torn on this suspension and can see both sides of the argument.

Alir had his arm free - there was no double movement...
I don't actually know what Higgins is expected to do.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Yep... I was at the game and it felt that in no way did Allir try to protect himself and his sole focus was on getting rid of the ball and not to protect himself.
If the tackler is giving away 15+kg, and his focus isn't to tackle with intent then what hope does he have to halt the ball carrier's momentum?
