What?!?! Chad Wingard disagrees.

You say that like we don't currently have Chad Wingard running around for us.

And why the trade season is designed just for the name clubs.
The players have too much power here.

If we do offload we will have to pick up some of their salary.

Macrae is playing AFL and getting coaches votes so you can exclude him.

Of course we can. There are plenty of sides with highly paid players at the VFL level. If they want to go elsewhere then fine but we should wait to see where we finish and how they play.

North got rid of a lot of older players, and now Clarkson is looking at bringing in established mature players to help the kids.

If you were Clarkson, would you do that

If I freaky Friday into Clarkson during trade week I'll do it. Then I'll resign and apologise for... certain other things.

North have made plenty of dumb decisions the last few years but moving Goldy on wasn't one of them. He's nearly 36yo and they have a ready-made replacement in Xerri who has been excellent this year as their no 1 ruckman.

Goldstein or Xerri could have rested forward while the other rucks . Goldstein does ok up forward and would have given Nth another forward option.
Also his experience has been shown playing at Essendon.

They had Callum Coleman-Jones to play that role, they weren't to know he was going to rupture his achilles.
I don't believe they turfed Goldy but did the right thing by him and let him know he was likely to be playing a fair bit of VFL this year if he stayed as they wanted to play Xerri and CCJ. I agree with Sedat, absolutely the right call.
