Hope Naughts recovers soon. In meantime?..
C?mon Lobster!!
Also hoping Bedendo gets a chance too. Could be our Bailey Fritsch - minus the Alfred E. Neuman grin.

Assume Lobb gets first crack but I wouldn't rule out going smaller and picking somebody like Bedendo.

Khamis kicked 40 odd goals last year…

Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
Naughts is unique with his tackling and ground level pressure. I like Lobb but can see ball waltzing out F50 too much with him, Darcy and Marra there.
Agree a smaller, more mobile forward might be the go. Bedendo hasn?t shown a real lot at VFL level but my fingers still crossed for him.

That's who my mind went to as someone who has Naughton's leap and agility and can kick a goal.

Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
We breed someone to compete at ground level and tackle well. Not sure Khamis or Bedendo offer that. Will be an interesting watch.

Still won’t trade Lobb if there’s any risk on Naughton next year. Or maybe at all.
Club saying optimistic it’s not an ACL.

Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
I would seriously prefer Khamis to Lobb as a Naughton replacement. We aren't going to replace his goals but it’s vital we go some way to replacing his work on the ground.

Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
Bring Lobb in and play Darcy forward exclusively, so he can get up and down the ground. Keep Lobb at home when he's not relieving in the ruck, taking some heat of Marra.
Nobody's looking for a puppeteer in today's wintry economic climate.

Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
I got a feel Buku could come in forward rather than Lobb. I don?t think Lobb for Naughton is very like for like.

Yep, Lobb is a seasoned AFL footballer who has a big engine and can play forward and ruck. He's miles ahead of Buku as Naughton's replacement. IMO.
I would also deploy English a kick behind down back when he is not rucking, and go smaller and less predictable when Lobb takes his turn in ruck

Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
If Bedendon kicks goal in the twos this weekend, I'm picking him.
