I'm leaning to ACL due to the agony he was in. Fingers crossed i am wrong but just the look on his face is usually a give away with an ACL.

Unless a player has previously done an ACL they wouldn't know what it feels like.

    Re: Injury List 2024

Bulldogs forward Aaron Naughton has sustained a moderate grade medial ligament injury to his right knee, scans have confirmed.

There has been no damage to his ACL.

Naughton was removed from the game during the second quarter after his knee was caught in a tackle.

T he Club will work through a return to play plan in coming days but expects to be without the 24-year-old for at least the next four to six weeks.

    From the App.

    Amazing news!

As good an outcome as we could expect i think.

I think the AFL need to look at getting rid of that tackle action. It was very similar to the hip drop tackle that is outlawed in the NRL.

It reminded me of that ****ing stupid tackle that took out Murphy's skinny legs between the meat hunks of Rocca.

You can't put someone's leg between your legs and twist them around breaking bones or ligaments. Time to make it official

David King said something along those lines last night.

It's a tough one, you already can't sling them to the ground, if you can't drop your weight either it's really tough for the tackler to bring them legally to ground in situations like that. On the other hand it's a really dangerous way to tackle that has a high likelihood of causing lower leg injuries (much more likely than going to ground to win a ball which has the over the top sliding rule).

Never been so delighted with a 4-6 week injury. With the bye it takes him conservatively to the Carlton game (possibly the week before against Port).

As good a result as could possibly have been expected.

Good news. I was fearing the worst that it was an ACL.

"There has been no damage to his ACL." - what a beautiful sentence.
