I wouldn't be so certain that Ward was ever going to sign with us.
There seems to be a fair bit of post-decision blaming of Fantasia, and he probably deserves some of the blame, Eade probably does also, but it also seemed very much that the AFL had decided Ward was going to be at GWS and paid accordingly.
Harbrow cashed in financially also - and surely Eade had the signoff on Sherman - clubs dont generally take senior players without the senior coaches stamp of approval.
Both players missed out on being premiership players with us

Re: Following our exes...................
Contract year put in 20 min a game instead of the usual 15 min.
He might have kicked 3 but gave back 2 within a minute in the second.
Bring back the biff

How does the father and sons work with his kids?
I see he has played 110 games for the drug cheats, only 89 games for us. Do preseason games count ?

Re: Following our exes...................
Former Footscray Bulldogs Hugo Brommell has been putting together a pretty solid season in the VFL for Coburg. He's someone that I felt was talented but probably needed to move on as he's the type of player that needs to play primarily onball.

I thought he was ok, but made a lot of mistakes and turned the ball over several times.

The same guy he's always been. Nice disposal but kind of soft, kind of slow. Great depth for Collingwood given their injuries and would have him back but kind of happy with Gallager/Sanders/Garcia getting time instead

Decent player that's easy not to notice, doesn't really make his team any better.
Nice guy, dreamy and I wish him luck but we've not lost much.

He was pretty good, playing that hff - > mid role. He's a clean player, very neat.
Overall ok nothing amazing. Lacks a bit of urgency.

Same as he ever was, does some nice things and is skilled but when the game is on the line he can't or won't get near it
