Marmo
Unfortunately another disappointing effort when we were all desperate to see a strong performance. Clearly the players lacked the desire of the fans . A worrying aspect was how strongly the younger players were represented in the vote. We need much more from our senior players. Top votes went to Bailey Smith (76 of possible 76) from Josh Dunkley (37). Third position was a tie with Lin Jong and Bailey Williams both recording 25 votes. Other to poll were led by taken by Lipinski (16), Macrae (4), Daniel, Crozier and English all with 2. Ed Richards scored a single vote.
James
Dominated by Bailey Smith (38 of possible 38) from Dunkley (11). Bailey Williams (6) was next best with the other scorer being Lipinski (1).
Note that in the James there were quite a few posters who seemed to miss Bailey Williams eligibility and left him out of the votes despite scoring him as the second pup in the Marmo. On all those occasions, I have adjusted my tally to give those votes to Williams.
Marmo - Leaderboard
8 – Bailey Smith
3 – Alex Keath, Josh Dunkley
2 – Hayden Crozier
1.5 – Lin Jong, Bailey Williams
James – Leaderboard

A much improved effort and more enthusiasm from WOOFers to cast votes and a wider spread of players were recognised. However, top votes still went to Bailey Smith (89 of possible 116) from Caleb Daniel (67). Third place to the returning Tom Liberatore (50) from Alex Keath (33). Jack Macrae (29) was close up. Others to be noticed where Bontempelli and Williams each with 7, Dunkley (4), English (3) and Toby McLean recorded a solitary vote.
James
Again Bailey Smith (53 of possible 54) was the dominant pup from Tim English (18). Bailey Williams (7) and Dunkley (3) were the others to score.

Top votes again to Bailey Smith (88 of possible107) from the returning Lachie Hunter (62) ahead of Alex Keath (52) with 4th position going to Jack Macrae (22). Vandermeer (16) headed the rest from Liberatore (12), English (6), Lipinski and Bontempelli (3 each) and Cordy with a single vote.

Re: WOOF Player Awards 2020
Quite a different leaderboard to usual.
Bont just scraping in, no sign of Macrae or Hunter (for obvious reasons, likewise with Dunkley), a second year player clearly ahead of the rest and Caleb Daniel in second despite playing almost exclusively in a position half our forum thinks doesn't play to his strengths. Also one of the guys in equal fourth is there purely because of one game and if we could award negative votes would arguably be on zero.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Bont, Macrae, Dunkley and Hunter were the regulars of last year and in 2020 they have featured in our top 4 exactly 1 time only each.
We really need some consistency from the engine room.
We would be in big trouble without Bailey Smith (18 votes of a possible 20) when he has played a full game.

Always good to play a team that we continually defeat and woofers were very keen in casting votes.. Top votes as the unaminous choice to Tim English (132 of possible 132) in the best game of his career to date and the best performance from a Bulldog ruckman at least since the time of Luke Darcy. Tom Liberatore (78) was runner up from Jack Macrae (63) with Bontempelli and Daniel (both 15) tied for the minor vote. Bailey Williams (12) led the rest from Wallis (5), Bailey Smith (4), Suckling (3), Hunter (2) and Crozier with a single vote.

Due to the quick turnaround for up coming games, the Tuesday weekly cutoff, will not be appropriate. Voter cutoff will need to be 2 days ahead of the next game at a minimum.

A gutsy win where the team defended well and top votes to Gold Coast nemesis Jack Macrae (90 of possible 120) narrowly from a brilliant Hayden Crozier (83). Bontempelli and Bailey Smith each recorded a single vote.

Unfortunately another disappointing result where the game was lost in half a quarter. Unusually there was a unanimous choice on the top 2 players with Jack Macrae (100 of possible 100) dominating the voting from an equally clear 2nd in Bontempelli (75). Third position was tight with Mitch Wallis (31) getting the nod ahead of Daniel (27). A terrific return to form for the team even though the junk time goals allowed was a little frustrating. A dominant game from Bontempelli (108 of possible 108) ahead of an extremely tight battle by the young guns with Bailey Smith and Aaron Naughton ( both 65) as joint runners up. The minor vote goes to Tom Liberatore (16) from Daniel and Hunter (both 7). Bailey Williams (2) was the other player to record votes.

Naughton (41) got the top spot by the narrowest margin over Bailey Smith (40) and they dominated the James with no other player recording a vote.
