I expect he returns via the VFL and has to earn his spot back the hard way.
Libba can only play midfield.
Not disagreeing - my focus is on who can turn into *that* guy? Who can wind up Heath Shaw? Who can shut down Josh Kennedy? Who can say enough when it's enough?
We need that guy

Re: Injury List - 2020
I wouldn't be surprised if Libba is done. Sad to say but he's nevery really got back to his best post knee injury with a slight exception in 2016.

Libba can only play midfield.
If a fully fit Libba anywhere near 80% of his best form is kept at Footscray, it will mean we are going very well.

From memory he started last season very well. The test may be if his knee can stand up throughout a long season.

Hayes was taking up a spot late last season wasn't he? Would easily replace him with Libba.

Dickson out of this week’s match with a slight adductor issue according to our site. Reckon it’s going to be a long year for Tory.

Is it the old case of going one year too long

He wasn't moving freely at all on Saturday but got better later in the session. A set back could be devastating for him

On paper you would but they are playing different roles.
Hayes is trying to be that hard running link up wingrr like Hunter. Liberatore isn't equipped for that role.
For Liberatore to get a gig it has to be as an inside mid (really tough as he is behind Bont, Macrae, Dunkley) a as a flanker rotating through the middle (a role arguably all of Lipinski, Wallis and Mclean have been performing better in). Atm the only point of difference Libba offers to those guys is his attitude, but all of those guys offer more in other areas (link up play, scoreboard impact, pace and forward nous respectively).
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Mclean had a shocking 12 months and was lucky to be in the team

It seems to be out of Hayes and Roarke Smith for the 2nd winger's position. Be interesting to see if Smith plays today too.

Roarke can take a taller mark and is a quicker outsider, Hayes is more an in the pack type player to me.
