That seems... odd.
Pendles is almost finished and Treloar has been a very good player. Had his injury concerns and apparently his salary spikes in 2021, but that would seem a huge backward step for mine.
Still only 27.
They clearly value De Goey over nearly every other player they have.
Wonder if they're regretting the bag they gave to Grundy last year.

Re: 2020 Player movement
So the other upshot of this news is that it probably delays their re-signing of Daicos.
Phillips would be a sound addition but Daicos is better, cooler, younger, and might actually make the games we play more enjoyable. We don't have a 2021 first anymore with the Goldstein deal but I wonder if they have any interest in our players that we could add to a later pick. They might need some guys for next year at this rate.

Re: 2020 Player movement
Pies would look to move out just about anyone before trading a Daicos, especially with the gun little brother on his way too. It'd be like moving Libba on a few years into his career, I'd be out the front of WO with a pitchfork.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Well we should be making it as hard as possible for them to keep him, a smart and clever high half forward that can kick goals would be great for us.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

He's been their best wingman this year, it's pushed Philips to HF who is better suited to a wing. I like Philips as a player - he certainly has a huge tank.

Re: 2020 Player movement
Re Phillips. Good tank, left footer with questionable hurt factor by foot. Isn't he a poor man's Lachie Hunter? Would he make us better? Other types a higher priority.

I think he's a reasonable upgrade on Roarke/Hayes as a wingman.
If we tried to play him on a flank, then no.

Apologies if this was mentioned before, but on “On the Couch” they mentioned about Treloars partner going to play for the Brisbane basketball/netball team (can’t remember which one) so maybe the club has got wind of that and pushing him to make a decision. Obviously if he goes up there with her, then he’d be looking at going to Lions most likely.
I will never see #16 the same!!

Its an interesting decision. New born baby and his partners contract is only for ten months. It is for netball.
I can't see Treloar making the decision to leave Collingwood based on that reason alone.
If he goes, Pies are pushing it.

We will need to put some players up for trades if we are to be a player during the trade period.
Maneuvering for points and players will be a difficult task

I think we are aligned in our views and there is a sameness about him and Hunter in the way that they play but if he could be acquired by a player trade we still might be interested in Phillips

But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.
