Re: "Not worth a thread" chat
I think the word persecuted is being used a bit too liberally here. It'll turn into a "not all men" definition of the word at this rate.

The reality is Bailey Smith has a high profile due to his own doing and brand. His social media presence is off the charts and he made a choice to be a brand ambassador for high profile brands such as Cotton On and Monster Energy.
Compared to DeGoey, Smith's treatment has been chalk and cheese.
If you can't see that, I'm not sure where you are looking...
Even the cartoon was pretty supportive.

Guess it highlights a fair undercurrent of discontent with players and the current state of AFL media.
Talking about media. At Bevo's presser the journo from 3AW had her mic under Bevo's chin. Other mics were at his chest. Bevo even mentioned it to her but she continued shoving the mic into his face like she hadn't heard him. I was waiting for Bevo to blow up but he kept his cool.

The truth always lies somewhere in between.
It's De Goey's long rap sheet that is the difference. It has been going on for years.

Re: "Not worth a thread" chat
I had to post this.
I know it's not footy related, but I just want to read Sedat's response.

Re: "Not worth a thread" chat
Not sure where to post this….
You know, some teams push the boundaries of the rules to get a win at all costs.
Some break the rules (cough… Essington…) and is it completely out of the question that someone would post a few used tissues to a player and spread COVID to another team?
Maybe even a crazed fan could do it? Or someone who is a mad punter and has $ on the outcome.
There’s sure to be more compromised matches this season.

I don't think that the virus would live the length of time it takes Australia Post to deliver a letter.
In all seriousness I think it's more likely that someone could slip something (cocaine or meth) in a players drink or coffee while they were out
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
