Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

The 2021 version should win more H&A games, finish higher on the ladder with a better %. On those numbers you’d say it’s a better side, however this group hasn’t proven it can do it in the finals yet with 0 finals wins since and really, a different proposition to the sides that have bowed out the last 2 years.

I think we can win it all this year. If we do the debate gets very interesting - this years version is likely to have a less “historic” / challenging run.

A bit of luck and we can have the conversation in a few months time.

    HB: Dale (21) Morris (16) Williams (21)
    C: Hunter (21) Libba (21) JJ (16)

    R: Roughead (16) Bont (21) Dunks (21)
    I: Daniel (21) Treloar (21) Duryea (21) Murphy (16)

I'm sure I've missed some obvious ones.
Some nice symmetry in your positional line up

    Keathy Boyd
    Dale Morris

I'd swap out Bruce of Tory Dickson who is actually clutch in big games.

Gee how to also get in Macrae and Tom Boyd
More of an In Bruges guy?

Underrated. BOG in a Grand Final to some observers.

Yeah, Macrae was a complete oversight. I had him in then took his name out to replace his role and put him somewhere else but just forgot. Oops. Put him in for Treloar.

He really needs to work on the defensive side of his game and stop worrying about that damn, silly, sexy 30 number.

Murphy lucky to make it with 3 games that year.

Macrae and Dickson the obvious oversights/omissions.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Yeah, Dickson can replace Murph and Macrae to replace Treloar.

Wasn’t it “fit and at their peak” though…
