Great win last night by the Matilda's to down 7th ranked Canada. 4-0 is a thrashing and Canada never looked like scoring.

On to the last 16 and hopefully Sam Kerr will be back by next Monday.

Was a flawless performance. I don't think I've seen the Matildas play a better game. Without Kerr notheless. To end up topping the group is incredible given the scenario going into the game.

I watched this and had the Ashes on my laptop.

They really did play well and can only get stronger when Kerr comes back in.

            Great result.
The disallowed goal for offside was one of worst var decisions I’ve seen . The heel offside to a player that wasn’t effecting the shot. No common sense from the ref there. very technical.

It was a great sports night in front of the TV. A shame the test didn't end with a victory but the matildas win offset it.

Another great win, very enjoyable match to watch.

Next game will be either France or Morocco

In great form. 2 excellent games in a row. Will Kerr coming back disrupt some of the chemistry? Either way having the best player in the world back will be a boost.

I just turned it on in time to see the sublime pass from Fowler to Foord for the first goal

I have never seen a better executed long pass.

I watched the game last night. Great win by the Matildas which takes us to the quarter finals. Really good quality game. Sam Kerr coming on the last 10 minutes got the crowd excited. Over 75K at Stadium Australia and a massive TV audience.

What a great pass that was. Mary Fowler played very well.

Foord to Fowler and then Foord runs all the way down the wing to get a great pass from fowler.

Watch how far Foord runs - she is bloody quick too.

I only managed to get the coverage up as Fowler passed it. I was not aware of the earlier touch from Foord.

That was just brilliant by Foord and the Fowler pass sensational.
