I had heard about this fellow at NASA labs using his access to try and understand the physics behind swing bowling, many many years ago.
Big reveal: No evidence for the impact of weather variables at all on producing or impacting swing, just some other well established physics principles around air-flow on different surface types and Bernoulli effect.
