Re: 2011-12 UEFA Champions League
The scary part for Milan is that they will be far more exposed on a much bigger pitch at the Nou Camp (and a much better passing surface) next week. They won't see the ball! (But they can still win with a bit of luck and sneaking an away goal...)Comment

Re: 2011-12 UEFA Champions League
Why would they bother when it stops passing sides (like Barca) from playing their natural game while it totally suits their pretty limited counter-attacking game, with long-balls down the flanks for super-athletic but limited players (like Boateng) or super quick players like Robinho to exploit?

Obviously I am praying for a Milan victory, but Barca should be to good.Last edited by chef; 29-03-2012, 07:23 PM.The curse is dead.Comment

ps. But it really is in Inter and AC's interest to have crappy pitches, the way they play. Inter probably more than AC.Comment

I don't blame them. I'm no AC fan but maybe their are claims for the first penalty. The second was rubbish.Comment

Re: 2011-12 UEFA Champions League
Semi finals
FC Bayern München v Real Madrid CF: 17 & 25 April
Chelsea FC v FC Barcelona: 18 & 24 April
Wasted a lot of chances, but hey we're through and you never know what can happen.
As long as we don't get Tom Henning Ovrebo as ref.

Understand your loyalties Chef, but how good would a Barca v Real final be?85, 92, 97, 98, 08, 09, 10... Break the curse!Comment

Re: 2011-12 UEFA Champions League
As my son is a pretty big Barca fan i've seen a far few 'el classicos' and are over them(bit too much theatre for me). I would rather see if Bayern could knock off Barca in a one off at home if the Blues aren't to make it.Last edited by chef; 05-04-2012, 05:23 PM.The curse is dead.Comment
