The second penalty was nonsense. Crap like that happens all the time, never gets paid (although they probably should). SO many incidents like that in the world cup, especially when Argentina were playing. Hate games being decided on ref calls.

ps. Having said that, Ambrosini was lucky not to have been sent off over BOTH legs -- he committed at least 8 or 9 yellow card offences over the two games -- wrapping legs around opponents, blatant holds, blatant hugging.. you know, old man fouls -- that he would have copped if he were anyone else, but he's too respected, like Seedorf. If it were Balotelli he would have been OFF. Plenty of other Milan players can also consider themselves lucky that the ref was relatively lenient with cards -- they were just hacking legs towards the end there.

pps. Barca had one stone cold penalty denied in the first leg, and Puyol also had his shirt grabbed in the area on a goal-scoring chance... I know it doesn't always work like this, but the clearly better side won. Iniesta's goal was legit, and AC didn't score a second anyway. Arsenal had much more of a case to whinge last year.

      Have to agree with this.

You know, I love the classico and have actually BEEN to a few, and I think that this is a rare, rare moment in history where both Real and Barca are BOTH in form and playing well, with two of the best players on the planet playing for either team (Ronaldo is in ridiculous form), but the reality is, you can get the classico in La Liga and the Copa Del Rey.. almost a waste to repeat it in the Champions League.

Bayern is SO under-rated in Europe. They are as dangerous as anyone but play an incredibly unfashionable style (and Gomez and the other forward -- Olic? -- are so awkward looking), but they are EFFECTIVE, and Robben and Ribery are amazing, as good a wing duo as I've seen in a long time. Definitely deserve the big stage.

In a way it will be a similar corollary to Holland and Spain in the WC Final -- especially since Robben will be there, again, against the Spanish players.

2 - 1 Bayern at home on the first leg.
Nice start, but RM get that all important away goal. Ribery should be embarrassed.

          Hell yeah.........................

          1 nil Chelsea over Barca.

          Drogba you are a god.

Kind of feels like karma for 2009 at the Bridge.

Barca had 72% of the possession and 24 shots to 5, but we still one(). Huge effort from the old guard.

RDM 13 games in charge, 10 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss.

Do you think 1 is enough?

I dont and if the game style is close to that in the return leg you would imagine Barca will tuck away 3 or 4 goals.

No, but it's start(and every team in the world would take that in a first leg against Barca). Not giving away a home goal is huge. I won't be overly confident but we are in a very good position.

I thought the pressure really got to Barca and they missed a lot of shots they should have got, the return leg is going to be double that. I can see us parking the bus at Nou Camp(like we did tonight) and we may only need 1 goal. Sturridge and Torres(he has a fantastic record there and against Barca) could also hold the key late. One area we are better than Barca is the back third and I think that showed today.

And if we can score a goal they will need to put 3 past us to advance, which will be tough if we play defencive football.

Good result, but I'd imagine it's advantage Barca.

Apparently San Siro will have an artificial pitch before the start of next season. It will be a hybrid field featuring both synthetic and natural layers.

I've got a bad feeling about tomorrow morning

First time Barca has lost 2 games in a row since 2009, I wonder how far back you would need to go for 3(but hey a draw would do me just fine).

Crazy result.... Don't think I've ever seen a 2nd legged tie be so one-sided for this result.

Chelsea are going to struggle to get a team together for the final, but kudo's to them.

That missed penalty by Messi was a shocker.

Bosingwa in for Ivanovic, Luiz in for Terry, Kalou in for Ramires and Essien in for Miereles. We'll be fine.

What a phenomenal team effort. Very proud to be a Chelsea supporter today.

                                RDM was awesome again.

What a surreal moment it was to see Torres charging down the field by himself towards goal for the sealer.
