Australia have some serious Microsoft skills to brush up on in preparation for the next Test in England in July. They should be able to insert pie graphs by that stage, a skill that is crucial on English wickets.
You don't develop courage by being happy in your relationships every day. You develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity. ― Epicurus
The first number 9 batsman in Test history to make 50 in each inning.
Siddle's efforts with the bat makes a mockery of our top order batsmen. The losses of Clarke Hussey and Ponting makes you realize how threadbare our stocks have become.
When was the last time that our batting was so poor?

I'm 33 and I can't remember anything like this.
I can't understand how all of our bats have such poor technique and such low levels of fortitude.
It's pathetic, to say the least. The ACB has mollycoddled cricketers for too long, and cricket as a sport has been given too much of a free run with the Australian public from a critical perspective for too long as well.
To not have any excellent batting talent coming through the ranks at the moment is unacceptable. We give the sport free reign over our summers, without competition, and as such we should be demanding better standards.
The game in Australia has turned itself into a commercial entertainment enterprise, rather than a sport, so as a result it needs to be accountable for the crap its dishing up and improve to add some value to the public.*
*This isn't a matter of patriotism, it's a matter of ensuring the public gets value from the resources it pours into the game.
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
This harks back to the post Chappell, March and Lillee era. We were left with a team led by Allan Border and not much else. From that team though saw the emergence of the Waugh's, Taylor, McGrath etc the cycle will turn.
What scares me currently though is that there doesn't seem to be a plan. There is no consistency on selection and this dalliance with 5 bat's, 5 bowlers and a keeper doesn't work. The selectors need to choose the 6 best batsmen, 4 best bowlers and the best keeper. Forget a spinner unless they are better than the 4 pace bowlers. Forget the all rounder unless they can justify their spot with either bat or ball.
Then problem at the moment is that every player bar Clarke is under pressure to prove their worth. They need to select a squad and 15 players and be done with it.
The concerning thing is that India are a very ordinary test team right now and they've been made to look like millionaires. England are horrible at batting against spin and they still won in India a few months ago. To have a short form dart bowler like Jadeja tearing the Australian batting lineup apart is a savage indictment on our top 6. Swann and Panesar are light years ahead of this bloke.
