The weather is starting to close in. Lots of clouds and breeze about. Should be really good bowling conditions.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Dhoni must be the worst ever international captain. Just dumb. Dumb.

It's what the 'S' in MS stands for.

Good session for Watson and Rogers. Positive cricket without taking risks.

I'd like to see them both go on with it and score centuries.

I put it on when it was Aus 1/86. Good good so far but still early days. If we claim this test then we win the series.

Either the MCG is a rocky desert in which the ball in bouncing around, or these mis fields are garbage cricket...

It's a shame that both Watson and Rogers didn't go on with it but it looks like being a good contest.

We need a big score from one of the batsman.

India have let us get the momentum back. Bowling far too many balls that could be comfortably left. Particularly to Marsh.

I know it's not this test but Brendan McCullam has just got out for 195 off 133 balls V Sri Lanka. That's pretty epic.

                      Weak dismissal by Marsh.

Must be a top bloke, because his performances at the top level are consistently below average.

There is just no one else really. Burns was next in line and has his chance now. Other than that it's pretty dry.

                            Smith 1,000 runs at 83.3 - 4 x hundreds, 2 x 90's, 3 x 50's (still not out)

He and Warner carrying the team virtually.

In 18 test innings Marsh has made 2 centuries and just one score over 50 which is a strong indicator of his consistency.
His first century and his only score over 50 that wasn't a century were in his first 2 test matches.

I'm not sure why he has been selected.

I mentioned a little while ago that we are winning games on individual acts of brilliance not great team performances. I don't think much has changed.
