In 18 test innings Marsh has made 2 centuries and just one score over 50 which is a strong indicator of his consistency.
His first century and his only score over 50 that wasn't a century were in his first 2 test matches.

I'm not sure why he has been selected.

The truth of his career said like this is damning. Hughes, Khawaja, North etc we're dropped and not spoon fed opportunities like Marsh. I find myself frustrated at the double standards with current selection. Wade would be better than Marsh.

In Brisbane out for 133 and run out in 2nd innings for 28. In Adelaide not out 162 and 52

I mentioned a little while ago that we are winning games on individual acts of brilliance not great team performances. I don't think much has changed.

Depends how you look at it. If you consider how our tail has performed with the bat, I think that's a fair counter to your argument.

Depends how you look at it. If you consider how our tail has performed with the bat, I think that's a fair counter to your argument.

No argument that the tail end batsman have performed sensationally well with the bat.
I guess when I look at what Johnson and Lyon have done with the ball and Warner and Smith with the bat and yet we nearly lost the last test it just doesn't bode well from an all over team performance perspective.
