9th game: MNF, TNF or another?

Once the new expansion teams are added, a 9th game each weekend will need to be played. The most likely timeslots mentioned by the AFL are Thursday night, Monday night and Saturday twilight. What is your preference?

I prefer Saturday twilight, to fill the gap between the afternoon and night games.

I'm not a big wrap for a night game where you have to front up for work the next morning.

For me, i'd like to have a Saturday afternoon game in Melbourne at 2pm.

Foxtel can show two games at once to keep the bleepin tv broadcasters happy.

I don't it is palatable to have footy on more days than not.

Only three days between games seems far too little break to review the weekend and preview the coming games.

Sat Twilight for me...not keen on having a weekday game on then fronting for work the next morning. Might even reconsider going if that happened

Would like to see the extra game played in a regular timeshot and broadcast on another channel, probably not going to happen though. Saturday twilight second choice
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

I voted Monday but now that I think about it a sunday night game at about 7 30 would be a good idea, it would be nice if we got Friday night channel 7 Sat day and Sat night channel 10 and sun day and sun night channel 7! Wont happen though

I selected other, howabout 2 Friday night games?

An earlier game in Melbourne LIVE on tv, then another game interstate, a Freo or West Coast game would be ideal.

Or even perhaps an early Saturday game, 1.10 start like we get on Sundays, start the Saturday arvo game slightly later, perhaps 2.45 or 3, and that also bridges the gap between that game and the Saturday night games.

Like it, the perfect timeslot for TV viewers and ratings. I'd be inclined to make this a showcase event for WA and SA matches as often as possible (so games start at 5.30pm/7.00pm local times and finish at 8.00pm/9.30pm respectively).

That gives you the 2 afternoon matches, a Sunday twilight match (preferably at Etihad as often as possible), and finish off with a Sunday night match live on TV into Melbourne. Perfect way to finish the footy weekend off.

To me Saturday twilight is half-pregnant and would eat into the 7.00pm matches - Sunday twilight is already established so it would make a perfect transition into a Sunday night match at 7.30pm, with a 10.00pm finish not too taxing for work/school the next day.
