To tell you the truth, it did not excite me, there was no passion and state borders are just that, borders and mean nothing. Half the players picked were a joke and picked on reputation, not form. Sorry, no interest from me, bring on the real stuff, Freo here we come.FFC: Established 1883

6 goals and at least 3 from contested marks from kicks that didn't particularily favour him at all.

Re: Hall of Fame Tribute match - Victoria vs Dream Team
Out of curiosity, is anyone familiar with the guidelines on State of Origin criteria as it relates to individual players?
For instance, Adam Goodes was born in Adelaide but played most of his junior footy in country Vic...so, how exactly is state-to-state eligibility ascertained?
Further to this, is anyone aware of a resource, online or print, which lists players according to their state of origin?...the AFL prospectus is no good on this front.BORDERLINE FLYINGComment

I don't mind Peter Burgoyne, but I see a lot of Port and his effectiveness of disposal, and ability to cut sides up with it, isn't close to that of say, Gilbee. A lot of his kicks float of the boot, are ill directed and lack penetration. I'm probably a little harsh on him, but I think he is a bit overrated, and generally not as brilliant as some make him out to be.
FWIW, I think Shaun would be a much more effective 'quarterback'.Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?Comment

Peter Burgoyne is good for your Dream Team (the game) and that's about all. He plays kick to kick (often sideways or with short kicks) with his brother and the Cornes boys, but often has no influence on the outcome of games. He does not take the game on like a McLeod or Gilbee does with quick breaks or pin point kicking to the advantage of his team.I don't mind Peter Burgoyne, but I see a lot of Port and his effectiveness of disposal, and ability to cut sides up with it, isn't close to that of say, Gilbee. The only people who rated his game on Saturday night were ones who use kicks and handballs stats as justification rather than more important stats like clearances or contested possessions or his perhaps even his influence on the game which was minimal.Comment
