      1. We need a key back that plays one on one - looks like we have to get Jones in and hope he still has it.
      2. Can't have Dolan and Hynes in the same team
      3. Poulter - I have changed my mind - he is not good enough

        1. Our ability this year, especially compared to years gone by, to not give up when the going gets tough and to deny the opposition an easy victory is so admirable and I think it shows that both the veterans and the young kids have the mental fortitude that you need as a team. It's not just one or two individuals, every single time it's because multiple guys step up and put the body on the line even when the game looks over and in the end, give ourselves good looks at snatching victory. This fact will hold us in good stead going into the future.

        2. Speaking of young guys, this is the unfortunate reality of playing so many young guys in your team. While they may break out one game and kick a bunch of goals or win you the game off their own boot, they will equally have games where they make bad choices or just don't get involved. Because they are still learning the pace of the game and understanding the intricacies that you can only pick up with experience. You have to admire their effort and the stuff they do well but with sub-50 game players holding down your FB position or filling out that mid rotation, asking them to play near their ceiling each week just isn't fair.

        3. If we have possession of the footy or we have time to set up, we are a brilliant football team. We are a deadly and formidable football team. Unfortunately, this game made clear that off turnover, we just don't have the system or the personnel to defend 1v1 in vulnerable positions. I don't think you can just plug one player in to fix that so Bevo, as much as fans will hate it, just has to stick with the system and make sure the players stop turning the ball over. And especially against the good teams because while it's impossible to defend the perfect delivery (which teams will do off turnover because you are immediately at a disadvantage), you can prevent them. Stop turning the ball over, keep possession of the footy and if you do give the ball away, make sure the defence has had time to set up. If we just tweak that and improve ever so slightly, we'll win way more footy games.

West turns up when he feels like it.
Our bottom 6 players are either inexperienced or simply spuds.
What Garcia adds to this team is a mystery

            1. Lobb isn't a one on one defender, like at...all. Intercept or nothing. We need a big key defender badly.

            2. Davidson, yeah I think we are still in search of two good wingman. He's a goer but he isn't much more. Likeable though.

            3. Thilthorpe is the best big man in the game. Crows made us pay for Marra and all the time were taking Thilly. They've must've been laughing at the current situation with the two of them today.

Today’s match clearly displayed our problems.

If Lobb is an interceptor we should play him as such. Sacrifice someone else such as Buss. He will still develop and we are playing others who haven’t contributed anything when we are desperate.

Davidson should keep his spot. He should also be taught how to kick. The slow high floating rubbish into the forward line might be a Bulldog signature move but I’m sure he has the IQ to do better.

Tilthorpe was repeatedly hit on the hands by the other Adelaide players. He didn’t have to run or jump, the ball always came in at the perfect velocity and the perfect angle. Naughton and Darcy have to work twice as hard against twice as many opponents. We have a desperate need for a motion specialist who knows about balls.

At half time Dolan had managed the same number of kicks as Poulter and Sanders, while Hynes and West had managed only one each. Made Freijah look like a star with two. You can’t win with that kind of momentum. If they can’t get the ball come up with a game style that gives it to them.

                1. We don’t have the backline to match it against good kicking top 6 teams.

                2. Lobb and JOD are not full backs. Either get Jones or Buss in there, or delist both and find someone else. Any key fwd of descent merit must sleep well the night before they play us.

                3. I’ve probably been harsh on Hynes, but geez, he’s not making me change my mind. 1 kick, 1 goal, 1 handball when he was subbed. I’m sorry but we cannot afford to carry that when we already have a bottom 6 on par with the worst in the league.

                4. we cannot play all of Hynes, Dolan, VDM, Poulter, Garcia, JJ, bramble and coffield EVER again in the same team.
I will never see #16 the same!!

                  1. We keep losing the same way. We can't bring enough intensity to defend the ball movement of the best teams. It was like groundhog day today.

                  2. We can't stick a tackle!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many times did they break a tackle where we should have put them in the Docklands capark!!! It hurt us so many times in transition and a few slipped tackles resulted in direct goals including the Coffield one in the last quarter.

                  3. Naughton has found his mojo. Two bags of five in the last two weeks and he is clunking them again.

Why on earth is Bramble in that drive by? He’s played 3 good games in a row. Get some new material

And why barrage me when 3 good games doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be in this team. Read again what I said. I said we can’t afford to play this group of players in the same team, meaning ALL of them together. 3-4 sure but not all 8 in the same team.

Watching Thilthorpe dominate like that is a massive kick in the guts. When our number 1 pick isn't even on the park. Put Cadman isn that category too.

The instruction from coaches must be to sit the ball 10 metres over Darcy's head every single forward 50 entry. Let him run and jump at the ball. Look at how Dawson kicks the footy to he's forwards.

I know we play a system based team defence, but seeing Lobb, JOD and Coffield zone off all day and go nowhere near opponents at times was staggering.

Bevo mentioned that in his presser during the week saying it wasn't necessary to kick the ball high to him. We must learn to deliver the ball better. WE have been saying this for years

                            He's turned you around?

                            1. JOD is a worry. His opponent Tex marks in a pocket while Coff chases Rankine around then JOD starts getting into Coff about it. He's a finger pointer and not a good 1 or 2 defender. Been multiple weeks now of absolute shitness from him. People ragging Coffield and he wasn't great but he is not our problem.

                            2. Same problems from our midfield over the past 4 years. Could not win a clearance when it mattered in the second. They gapped us and that was the end of that. Forget the junk time goals it sticky taped over a comprehensive win by them.

                            3. Naughton has turned into Darcy and Darcy has turned into Naughton. Weird.

But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

                              1. We may not even make the finals now. For a team with such top end talent that would be a monumental disaster.

                              2. The top 8 teams have a top 17 and a bottom 6 - we have a top 6 and a bottom 17. Too many flawed players that are easily exposed by the serious contenders.

                              3. We may be heading for a Brisbane v Adelaide Grand Final - at least there will be plenty of colour.
