I guess if we think Cordy is better than Gardner we might bite. I'm not sure.
Cordy in a rookie spot doesn’t actually sound too bad does it? It’s a leader in the VFL system and absolute “break glass” option…

…and who knows, maybe he has a late career resurgence ala Liam Jones?

      Welcome home Z. Cordy?

        But pretty close.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

          Desperate times my friend !

          Get Hamling as well.

Cordy and Hamling back there I'm starting to feel a lot more comfortable.

Derksen appears to have dropped off the Dees radar. I've had my doubts but if he could come in super cheap and maybe during the SSP would he be worth considering?

We got rid of Jones, I’m not sure we will be looking at Cordy

Liam Jones will be 35 at the start of next year and his body started to let him down and his form then fell off a cliff.

Cordy will be 28. For reference, Cal Wilkie will be 30 at the start of next year.

I think Cordy has a lot of footy left in him, sure he is no top liner. But as a rookie, some leadership at Footscray and some insurance?

But I’m assuming one of the reasons for losing Jones is because he takes up a spot in the VFL side. I could be wrong but last season Footscray had the best full back in the VFL in Gardner, then Jones taking key position roles in the VFL, it means Busslinger, Walker don’t get to play those roles at VFL level.

I’d rather see us develop Walker and have Gardner as our back up if needed.

Yes. Whoever it is of what might be considered moderate quality with a bit of improvement left should be considered. Our only back up is tapped out improvement wise, very little upside, so we need to have someone else we can work on and try to get better.

No sledge on Gardner, from his start to where he is now he's had an awesome career. We just need someone else to work on.
                    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Has anyone seen him and is he any better than what we already have?

I've seen him when they played us late in the season but I didn't take a lot of notice of him.
I think it's questionable if he is much of an upgrade which is why I'm suggesting keeping a spot open and a chance for him to train with us.

Hamling re-signed with Sydney, he just keeps on eking on.

What's Fletcher Roberts up to these days?

Saw him in Swans St Richmond getting a Ban Mi - same place Darcy goes to, so must be getting in shape.

To be honest I can't remember a season's trading where we have been less involved. It just seems to be all going on around us.

Hopefully that means we have just hidden it from the media.
