I'm going to add Harmes now which will be the only thing you focus on.

People forget that Harmes played some of the most annoying football in some of our most annoying performances last season. It's silly if people want to count him out of playing a similarly impactful role this coming one.

Seeing quite the variety in players people are including in their round 1 sides. Some great discussions.

You could easily argue having variety means having great depth amongst the squad. Alternatively, you could argue having such variety isn't ideal as it means a few spots don't have stand out options.

It also could come down to the fact we haven't had this amount of player turnover in recent years.

Bevo has always rewarded training standards and players who fill a specific need/role that we may not be fully privy too. So I'm expecting a couple of surprises come round 1.

I think his best 2-3 games of the season will be really good, as they were last year. The problem is the other 20+ weeks.

It's a good point re training. Harmes was in that Rd 1 team, so was McNeil on a wing on the back of some great pre season form.

Ditto - and if JOD isn't firing this pre-season, I'm starting to wonder if we do go with 3 talls in defence or we go with 2 and ask Dale/Freijah to play hybrid roles just so we get that extra runner into the side.
Bramble deserves to be locked in but if JJ is finally free of injury, he's a senior player who is quick, can kick and has a tank.

I hope he does, that way we get to see Happy Days flip flop between self-loathing, liking Harmes and loathing Harmes.

Tempted to replace Sanders with O'Donnell but happy to run the risk of going in with a smaller line-up vs the Pies and perhaps he's a stronger candidate against North.
Ugle-Hagan is a cautionary selection and he needs to come back after the break with some momentum.
Tempted to name Harmes but mainly for spite purposes
If we had to go taller then JOD to the back pocket, Freijah to the wing and Garcia to replace Sanders on the bench.

Hard to see when we fit any newbies other than Kennedy in a best 22 for next year then.
