Re: What to do, with pick 82?
Luke is a Year 10 this year I believe. He is moving through with Peter Burgoyne’s son Trent and Darren Mead’s son Jackson. I taught Jackson in Year 7 and he was already a seriously good footballer (and a great kid).I've watched Jackson play for a few years, he's a smooth mover and very cool under pressure with great skills. Needs to build up a bit more muscle but he has an athletic build already. Isn't the fastest kid on the block which is an issue as he isn't an in and under player. I'd suggest he'd be a strong candidate for a go home factor if drafted by an interstate club, the Edwards family is very close knit.
Incidentally he's first cousins of Ben Jarman
jacksons younger brother Luke Edwards may we'll be the best player in the family. He's still 3 years away (I think) but he's looking to be a superstar
Do you think Jackson Edwards is worth a punt with 82 if he is still there?Last edited by The Adelaide Connection; 02-11-2017, 10:45 PM.Comment

He is 19. Captained the Dragons in the Grand Final last year with a broken foot and is rated as a 'rookie chance' by this article I found.
Excerpt:
TAC Cup: Hamish and Andrew Brayshaw headline list of elite talent in Dragons v Falcons decider
SUNDAY night` will screen the final Sandringham Dragons edition of the ‘Hamish and Andy’ show as the Brayshaw brothers shoot to end their junior careers with a TAC Cup premiership.
While the grand final won’t produce this year’s No.1 draft pick, the younger brothers of Melbourne midfielder Angus headline a range of prospects as the Dragons battle Geelong Falcons at Etihad Stadium.
The Falcons have not reached the grand final since their 2000 flag, which Hawthorn legend Luke Hodge played in as a bottom-ager.
Hamish Brayshaw captained last year’s Dragons premiership with a broken foot and, after returning as a 19-year-old, shapes as a rookie chance.
Andrew has soared into the likely top 15 of this year’s draft after averaging 25 disposals and five tackles since returning from Vic Metro.
“I don’t think he’d be out of place (near top of draft),” talent manager Ryan O’Connor said.
“He does a lot of things very, very well and clubs like the fact he keeps it simple. He does the right things at the right times and also seems to have an ability to step it up at critical times if the team’s not going well.”
“And Hamish is definitely worth giving the opportunity.
“He polled 15 votes in the Morrish Medal out of eight games. He’s played some good VFL footy, has continued to improve and he’s a smart, intelligent kid with a big physique.”Comment

Suprised he didn't get picked up. Maybe the foot scared people away? He was the only player of 5 invited to the combine last year from the Dragons that didn't get picked up (the others being Andrew Mcgrath, Oliver Florent, Tim Taranto, and Jack Scrimshaw).

It's not just about talent in footy. Determination, competitiveness, courage, sheer bloody mindedness and the ability to play through injury all count for something.
I hope he gets a seat at the table. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

Re: What to do, with pick 82?
Here are some names I would consider at pick 82
Joel Amartey - a 195cm athletic tall who can play in a variety of positions but he will need a lot of time
Hamish Brayshaw - 187cm midfielder
Nathan Krueger - Lively forward, 196cm
Tom De Koning - 200cm forward and ruckman
Tom North - Hard working midfielder
Kyron Hayden - Strongly built midfielder from WA
Charlie Thompson - Determined 184cm defender
Cassidy Parish - Tall midfielder
Hayden McLean - Key position forward, can ruckWestern Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Obviously yes I do, he's played senior SANFL footy and was bog in his second or third senior match.Luke is a Year 10 this year I believe.
