I think we've both been advocates to give him a go on our list. I hope we do it this year

Yep, he can both excite and frustrate in the space of a couple of minutes.
Character wise you couldn't knock any decision to bring him in as a rookie.

We should back ourselves to get something a bit extra out of him

Might be time to roll the dice

+1. He's a natural up forward both overhead and when the ball hits the ground, and see no reason that he couldn't play a pressure forward role at the very least.

I've watched this a couple of times now and it's a great story
I know we are looking to establish an indigenous program at the club but the good that bringing in someone with the community values and qualities Reuben William has could be huge for us.

I have been thinking about this. With the trouble we have setting up an indiginous program maybe it's God telling us to set up an African kids academy? We certainly have a lot of access locally because Footscray has a lot of big, strong looking and tall African kids wandering everywhere. North have noticed them and have set up a pretty amateurish academy of their own (a cap and a 3 game membership.

We need to do this now. We could steal a march over the rest of the comp with players AND supporters
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I don't think this will happen at all. I believe he is going back to QLD to reunite with his family. He has found a community job there and is happy to be back with his family.

That the news I got from my better half, working voluntary and now part time in the Western Bulldogs community program which Reuben also part of.

Rueben is the ultimate 'swingman' for our VFL side. He usually plays as a defender but can be thrown forward at any time. A real versatile type.
