MAJAK Daw's pursuit of history has received a major boost ahead of next week's rookie draft.

The 18-year-old, who is hoping to become the first African-born player to make an AFL list, will spend this week training with North Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs.Daw, who has been described as a 194cm excitement machine, will spend two days at each club in a bid to be selected in next Tuesday's draft.

              Thanks!

Do you think they'll get Daw before we do? Without actually having ever seen the kid play, I just really like the story and it would just be such an opportunity to connect with a large constituency in the West wasted if North pick him up instead.

My gut feel is North will get him with their 2nd pick.

Are we not interested with our first pick?

I have no idea, as I said, just a gut feeling.

Why wouldn't Scotty Clayton snaffle him up? He seems the type Scotty drools over, tall athlete who can run & jump, he said so himself [on SEN] that he would have taken Nic Nat number one in last years draft.

They will most likely go for players with some genuine senior experience because of the need to get a VFL side up and running but Daw might be a consideration in that 5.
