I'm certainly not bagging Minson but with the emergence of Roughead a top-up ruckman/forward could give us a few more options.

Agree, Minson has value on the trade market. If a suitable trade is offered, I say take it.

Like Kepler Bradley? Tarrant for Fraser looks like getting done which leaves Bradley on the outer. I would not want Bradley, even though he would offer us almost as much as Minson in the ruck but more up forward.
        Thats not saying much.....

Quick, raw left footer who could be worth a look. Didn't get much of the footy but looked good when he did. Already a thread on him on BigFooty where apparently he has attracted some interst from AFL clubs.

Here is an article regarding him: http://www.thecourier.com.au/news/lo...p/1877073.aspx
I only saw a bit of the 3rd quarter but this kid was one that raised my eye browns. From what i could see he looks like a very likely prospect and would love the dogs to draft this kid.

Just out of curiosity, if Will Minson was to be traded, what would we reasonably expect in return? ie: Draft pick range. Its too hard to quantify if you start mentioning players.

You would expect a pick under 40.

Richmond may be interested in him as they only have 2 very young ruckman on their list.

Would you look at say a Tambling for him or a Matt White type and a 3rd round draft pick?

Richmond usually get screwed in trades, not the other way around

Will is coming in to his prime age bracket and has over 100 games experience.

Ruckmen seem to be worth more on the open market, but if all we were offered is the above, I would pass.

We gave the Saints Farren Ray for pick 30, i see Minson as being more important to a teams structure than Ray, so i would say a pick in the 20's.

I'll take it a step further and want at least a late first rounder / early second rounder for Everitt and a similar pick we got for Ray for Josh Hill.

                  So:
                  Minson 24-29 range
                  Everitt 17-23 range
                  Hill 29-35 range

Yeah fair call! However I rate Matthew White he has explosive pace and can use the football.

I don't think Josh has done more than Minson, but i don't just judge these players on only past performances, but team value.

There are clubs on the lookout for a ruckman though, and Minson is surely rated more highly than Griffin, West and Blake who are the others that look set to be on the move.
I'd assume Sam Jacobs would attract a higher pick than Minson.

Carlton will make a play for Everitt again this year, they seem determined to get him. We may even see a 3 way deal with Jacobs.

What would we want from Adelaide; players or a pick?

If we got rid of Minson, i wouldn't be too unhappy with Jacobs, rather than someone like Griffin, but if it was a 3 way deal type of trade, i'm tipping Jacobs would be going elsewhere and we get a pick.
