We seem to rest players regularly for these games. Perhaps Willi takes this competition more seriously than the Bulldogs do.

          Very interesting selection.

From last weeks team against West Coast

Mulligan - perhaps the message is not in the mix next week with Markovic kept out maybe for Essendon.

Schofield - sub last week and the run won't hurt

Hooper - probably not likely to be in the frame for seniors again this year.

Barlow - May also be a message, but had missed 2 weeks with the hand and perhaps needs more match practice to build confidence in the hand.

Roughead was poor last week and needs to show he can carry the ruck duties with just Barlow as his back up.

Could they have decided to rest players from Perth who are contenders for Essendon ?

          Minson perhaps for Hudson
          Cordy maybe for Roughead
          Markovic for Mulligan
          Grant for Barlow
Life is to be Enjoyed not Endured

FWIW - Claremont have treated the competition as a bit of a training run this year - they rested 9 players for the semi final, and seem somewhat below full-strength for this one. Certainly guys like Broome and Bradshaw are regular reserves players.

I am actually pleased to see Roughead will need to carry the ruck in this one - Andrews is nothing special but he is a big bodied competitor...Roughy should be able to dominate this matchup.

Willi's ability to run with the likes of Swift, Stevenson, Schammer, Browne, Foster and Blackwell (and to a lesser extent guys like Murphy and Mitchell) will determine the outcome. Claremont run a pretty good press as well so they will need to be up for that...

Complete waste of time. The only good thing is it gets coverage

Scrappy start, Tutt and Howard have started really well though.

Tutt kicks the first of the game, he's been very lively early.

All the talk about talls keeping developing listed players out of the Willi side? Forward line at the moment:

Hooper, DJ, Veszpremi and one other midget. Everyone else is 'up'.

It isn't as if they are overstocked with tall targets. High standard game - perfect day.

If Willi dont up their tackling pressure, they are going to lose by 10 goals.

                          Sam Reid has no class.

Willi playing real counter-attack style...3rd shot on door from a to. Goal to Roughead.

Tutt for me is going to be a very good AFL player. He is very clean and loved when he got tackled he was still able to get an effective handball away.

I'd like to see him in Hoopers spot.
