Pleased to hear Willy got the win

Hopefully it was a good development experience for some of the youngsters, still sounds like Tutt and Howard are improving

Hill's attitude looked like he thought he was Gary Ablett playing in the bush league during that last Qtr. The game was on the brink in the last 5mins and he kicked out three times to nothing. Hence those three times where in a row! cause the ball came straight back over his head. Thank god Claremont couldn't kick straight (Getable goals too) or the game would have been theirs.

Will we see Josh wearing the #20 in the R,W & B again this year? I am hoping that it's a no.

Big game next week for Willy. I've had this one pencilled in for a while now.

Tutt and Howard looking like they could make the grade. Barlow works hard and is often in contests. Vez looks like if he can get his fitness level up a couple of levels he might be able to play AFL.

I would be surprised if Hill is on our list next year.

Wallis not accumulating possessions like we thought he would.

          Congratulations to Willi. Great win.

From the minute i saw, Hooper should have a shot on goal, but he took long getting his kick off and got smashed.
That quick change of channel meant i missed Genia's break to set up Australia's first try. Wasn't about to change again

              Please don't twist my words.

              a) Hooper - All I said was I am not prepared to write him off after 5 games at the age of 20.

              b) Vez - I was responding to whether he was ready to play next week, which I don't believe he is.

Will the Bulldogs players who played take a cut of the prize money?

Thanks to all for the updates/reports.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

It was only 40,000 bit pissy I thought for all the trouble the teams go through, hopefully it goes towards the club itself, what does Willy get if we won a premiership?

Ah, well it's not much then. For some reason I thought it was around the $200K mark.

Thought Howard, Tutt, Roughead all impressed.

Wallis, Hill, Hooper, Ves, Barlow, Schofield played well enough.

Mulligan, Johannison, Reid not up to it at this stage. In Mulligans case probably never.

Re: Grand final: Claremont v williamstown

I thought Howards kicking was first rate. I would think he will play the remainder of the season in the seniors which should give him confidence going into pre season. Attacks the ball and goes in when it is his turn.
I expect him to play a lot of games in 2012 .

Roughy I think with a big preseason, will be ready to take over the number 1 ruck from Huddo providing he is over his shoulder injuries.
There is no doubt he has talent and will eventually become one of the better ruck man going around. He moves well for a 200cm ruck man!

I'm puzzled how Panos was named in the best. The few times I did see him in the first 3 quarters he twice got out marked by Beau Wilkes in the goal square. To his credit, he was ok in the last quarter.
Veszpremi is too good for the VFL, I wish he would realize how good of an AFL player he could be if he got himself fully fit.

Re: Grand final: Claremont v williamstown

Sorry the updates stopped - was joined at the ground and continuing to type into my bberry would have been somewhat impolite.

Howard was good - most pleasing was his willingness to run...I have not really seen him absolutely bust a gut before to really get to a contest where he was at best a 10% chance to get the footy/have an impact. But he was willing to do it and got the rewards.

Veszpremi is in our best 22. He is smart, attacks the ball well and is efficient by foot. I would play him...fitness questions??? What is the worst thing that could happen? We lose? We have been losing anyway!

Tutt is OK. I don't like his decision making but he kicks it well enough and has a nice turn of speed...

Roughead played well but as I noted in the preview had very little opposition.

Barlow was fine. Hooper was fine and I was pleased to see him come up the ground...he is going to have to do this if he wants to play AFL footy.

Wallis and Schofield are babies and not ready for senior footy.

Reid cannot kick. Hill doesn't have the desire to succeed required to have success at state league level let alone AFL level. Mulligan is tall. Johannison is fast.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

                            Why?

His fitness is questionable, but so too is Hooper's and a couple of other players we've carried at certain times this year. Point is, as mjp pointed out, we're losing anyway - why wouldn't we play him?

                            It's insanity. Literally.

The Why is merely fitness level, thats all. I am not questioning his talent. If he can run out a game great.

Have seen nothing to suggest Vez. is ready for a call up. His skills are good but he remains slow and lacks the required endurance. Get a decent pre season into him.

I'm not yet about losing and next week, against Essendon's run, would hardly be the week to bring him in.

Tutt could be an option next week to add some run.
