    TAC Finals

Looks like being two good games today starting with the Jets vs the Cannons.
Conditions are very windy but the grind looks great especially given the rain we have experienced.

Another Calder win but the Jets made them work for it.

Good game, got a bit of it but below average kicking skills.

I went today, just got home from a long trip. Might give a few thoughts on some players tomorrow.

Good to see Oakleigh into the prelim (I tipped them for the premiership start of the year) and my man crush Dom Tyson with another good game.

Good wins by Oakleigh and Sandringham today. Will make the trip down next week, should be a cracker in both the TAC cup and the VFL match.

Few players I liked this final series

Tomlinson has had an outstanding finals series, not exactly sure if he is a KPP but he can play all over the park. Played a bit in the midfield even on Saturday but is more suited down back or up forward. Look out for him in the GF, worth looking at.

Tyson is just a gun would love him, but it won't happen. Watch him carve up next week.

Talia was pretty good today. I've criticised him a fair bit, a bit unfairly so. Seems to be moving and kicking a lot better after his apparent groin surgery. He had a good finals series and stopped a lot of attacks. Still rate another defender higher though.

Ellis would be a solid half back and midfield option. Not overly quick, but reads the play very well and has elite skills. Attacks the contest very hard and had a very good final series.

Haynes I'd look at really closely. Has the speed and agility we could really use and can play all over the ground. He's a very good mark that is probably more suited to the forward line which may take Grant's spot. I expect him to go higher then expected though, maybe to GWS.

Lachlan Hunter - Thought i'd put him in. Had a good finals series I thought. He does need to work on his kicking as he can have some bad days. Obvious potential. We may need to use a 1st round pick for him, at least a 2nd rounder next year.

Some other players who have been ok

Danny Butcher - Outside mid, with good pace and skills. Worth looking at.
Josh Tynan - good half back with elite skills and good pace. Would like him
Tom Sheridan - Gets a lot of the ball, but handballs a lot. Not really what we need.
Jack Beech - Ruckman, worth a rookie shot. Will get another look at him in the GF
Sam Frost - Obvious talent, does amazing things then not so amazing stuff. Very athletic for a big bloke. One to look out for next week.
Ben Darrou - Nice speed, nice skills and good one on one. Played well in defence, not the worst option for a tall defender.
Jackson Paine - Tall player who can play a bit all over. More of a forward though, probably wouldn't look at him.
Daniel Markworth - Another lead up type. Can play in the midfield though and has looked good there at times. Only new to the game, worth some consideration.
Toby Greene - Inside mid and has at times been shut out of it a bit. Not one we should look at, but still look out for him next week.
Jackson Coleman - Big forward who has kicked quite a number of goals. Been playing further up the the ground lately. One to look out for next week.

              Disappointed with

Todd Elton - Bucket loads of potential but just doesn't do enough. Beats up the poorer teams, not very effective against the good teams. Overrated.
Liam Sumner - While he has been ok, would expect a bit more from a top 10 candidate. Very quick and has good skills, see how he goes in the GF.

Jackson Coleman is the son of Glen from memory. 60 odd games each for us, Syd and Roys.

Looks to have made a choice between his footy and cricket as well.
He has a bit of presence about him.
