Awesome idea. The club had buses running from Whitten Oval to Princes Park in 1997 up until the move to Docklands.

I'd buy a Footscray membership for thirty or forty bucks.

Yeah, I remember getting buses with other die hards. Was awesome, really gave me a sense of community and belonging.

The more I think about it, the more they should run with my idea, so many good reasons. They could make it epic, tying in the old with the new, "celebrating our origin with the kids of our future", and so on. The idea of a few thousand die hards having a Footscray love in at Whitten Oval, buying memberships, supporting the club, growing ID with our brand and a tradition to do every year which is a statement of our journey would be awesome. Simply awesome.

Great news, a true 'feel good' direction the club is heading in.

Love bt's idea, hopefully they really make the most of this from a marketing and programming perspective. Could be a real serious winner.

Coupled with the dramatic improvement of the senior squad in recent weeks, there's some genuine excitement heading into 2014. It's great to be part of!

Remembering the great old days at the Western Oval. This is a good decision by the WB and might just help bridge the gap with the Footscray Forever supporters.

Actually cried this morning when I saw the news.

The Footscray Football Club has been going to battle every week, glad we have put our real name back in the public sphere again. Thats probably done enough to settle my issues with the way previous administration have treated our identity and historical narrative.
