Howard is a genuine no 1 KPD. Nothing like a 'third tall'.

The Age reporting that Melbourne have officially made an offer for Jamie Elliott. And that Collingwood can't increase the $$$ to Elliott. So unless he stays for not much money, he's going to the highest bidder.

Agree, I don't think we need to recruit a third tall, especially since we have Naughton, Schache, Trengove, English, Lew Young, Cordy and soon to add Keath and Bruce.

If Carlton are looking at other trades, it's going to be interesting how they proceed.
I know Martin and Papley have nominated Carlton, but I hope we are having a chat to their managers regardless. If Carlton can’t manage to get both deals done maybe we can swoop in and snag one.

Carltons first rounder next year for Gold Coasts second.
Carlton have shown they are ballsy enough to do it, and on their current formline would be expecting to finish somewhere between 10th and 6th at worst, especially with all these recruits. Gold Coast are almost definitely bottom four again, so it would be pick 12ish for pick 22ish and Martin.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Zac Smith who has been tenuously linked to us has interest from Gold Coast & Essendon according to trade radio.

Then he's not turning into a DFA I'd guess. Interesting if he wanted to go back to GCS. Surely at that late of a pick, Geelong would just do a Roughead trade to whomever he wants to go to for a very late pick.

Out of contract fringe Swans ruckman Darcy Cameron has told Sydney today he wants to be traded to Collingwood

It’s still around. Grundy and his management team are putting pressure on the pies to offer a 7 year deal before next season.
I’d be surprised though if Grundy went to Adelaide this trade period.
