And suddenly pick 4 becomes pick 5. I don't know why, when it was only an exchange of picks, we didn't wait to see what other machinations played out before finalising the deal with GC. It's quite insane.

It’s been pretty well assumed all the way along that 4 will be 6 by the time we actually pick.

Re: 2023 Official Trades Thread
Back to official trades:
North Melbourne has landed Dylan Stephens from Sydney. Have traded their end of first rounder next year and pick 44 this year for Stephens and pick 25 this year from the Swans

Re: 2023 Official Trades Thread
That's a good deal for both clubs and the player.

Jeez, Stevens devalued quickly after being driven off the car lot.

Re: 2023 Official Trades Thread
Yeah it might slide lower during the actual draft but now it's STARTING at pick 5. I have an awful feeling next years first rounder is gonna bite us on the arse. HARD.

Giving away Grundy. What a strange turn of events.

They tried something radical and it didn't work. Grundy didn't cost them much so it's not a huge loss for them.
They've apparently freed up 1.5M in cap space.

Do we know what the salary agreement is? Are Sydney taking on the entire cost or are Melbourne chipping in now? Are Collingwood fans dancing now they're free from paying some of his contract?
