    RIP Rochelle Nolan

Russell Gilbert's partner of 18 years Rochelle passed away, so to Russ and the family you have our best wishes. Russ's Instagram is a sorrowful read and I won't post it here but it's public on his account. But a true bulldog is doing it really tough, so our thoughts to all in this tragic and sad passing.

I remember Russell from the Barkly st boys back in the days, that fanatical group of adolescent boys who stood in front of the advertising signs at the Barkly st end and taunted opposition supporters back in the late '70s and '80s.

I also saw a lot of his early gigs at the Last Laugh and le Joke and he bought me a lot of laughs, enjoyment and happy memories of fun times.

Russ my thoughts are with you tonight.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I can't find any stories about it on Google. Do you know any details BT? Had she been sick or was it sudden?

Russ said she was suffering from poor treatment by some people and took her own life. I personally don't feel right to repeat everything said even though it's public, it's a very honest, raw and sad read. If you're on Instagram Russ' handle is, russellgilbertcomedian .

Just search "Russell Gilbert Instagram" his profile comes up. The message he posted can be seen there. Mental illness claims another. Terribly sad. RIP.

Very sad for those left behind.

This is a time when an organisation like a football club can wrap it's arms around one of its own and help with the process of grief.

For all the fundraising he does for our club, I want to think they're already doing something for Russ.

Had a work mate take his own life in front of a train last Thursday, this is the third friend this year that has ended their life through mental illness, pressures of life are real.

Bloody hell. That's a whole lot of bad for a whole lot of people. I spoke with Russ at a function last year for about 10 minutes and a nicer bloke you will never meet, a more loyal doggies man too. He has been re-posting the message so he must be wanting people to hear the damage that mental illness and poor treatment of Rochelle. I really, really hope the club, channel 9 or SEN and anyone else is getting to support him in this time of need.

That is so sad. Mental illness is such a terrible illness. My thoughts and prayers go out to Russell and his and her family.
                        Deepest condolences.

Fingers crossed he is found safe and sound, hopefully just hiding somewhere safe. Such a sad story
