    RIP - John English

Another sad death with John dying. He was 66.

English became famous in the early 1970s for his performance in Jesus Christ Superstar, and won a Logie for best new talent in 1979. His solo hits included Hollywood Seven and Turn the Page.

He also starred in other musicals, such as The Pirates of Penzance and The Mikado.

    He had four children.

ABC2 aired a 1st Season Spicks and Specks episode in which he featured. It was great to watch.

As a child of the 80s my first exposure to Jon English was in that terrible SitCom "Altogether Now" he did with a Young Steve Jacobs, a younger Jane Hall and Mr "Stay Beautiful" Bruno Lucia.

Ditto. But he made up for it in Frontline doing a copycat of the Angry Anderson community building pieces.
