One of my favourite ever songs, and film clips. Listening to Chris explain how that came about is interesting. Far too young.
Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023
In tears tonight, just heart broken to hear this awful news.
Soundgarden influenced my teenage years, Audioslave my 20s and his solo my 30s. He's had a huge influence in my life and I'll be forever grateful for what he has given me.
I absolutely hate that song. Maybe not its fault, but it was flogged so hard that for a while I couldn't listen to Soundgarden at all.

Thanks Chris.
Thanks G. That's rough mate. The beautiful thing about good music is it let's us have some ownership of it. The rough thing is that we grieve when it's gone. Thoughts are with you.
Wow hadn't heard this news and quite a shock. Like GMo, Soundgarden and that Seattle scene had quite an influence through my earlier years. Pretty sad about Chris's passing. RIP.
Not a fan myself (don't necessarily dislike the music, just never really appealed to me - couldn't name more than one song) but 52 is much too young. RIP.

Chin up G-Mo. Keep it positive, remember the good because that's all he and his conspirators gave to you.
I loved a lot of Soundgarden stuff at a time, then fell in love with Brit Pop followed by house/progressive/tech post the 90's so he pretty much dropped of the radar for me.
His recent solo stuff really irked me because it seemed overdone, but my much better half loved it to bits and I'm sad for her as I am for a lot of friends who kept the faith. I called my much better half while she was pulling long hours in her accounting job and gave her the news.......for some reason she thought I was bullshitting her.....(even for me calling my accountant GF and making a Chris Cornell death joke would be too much......right?)......I guess with the increased exposure of commercial music over the past few decades we'll get more and more of this.
Right now, for some reason, Denise Drysdale is performing an Australia Day rendition of I Still Call Australia Home on my TV and it's blocking me from saying what I want to, so the post can be closed out.
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
So sad. And taking your own life too, just so horribly, horribly sad. His poor family.

May 15 lodgement deadlines? They were revolting (I don't work in practice anymore, but then have been working until midnight the last couple of nights doing budgets so I'm not sure there is a difference...)

Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell
Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath
