    Podcast recommendations

    Anyone else a podcast addict?

I've got 30+ that I cycle through regularly - mainly business, technology, health, sales/marketing, MMA.

    Here are my top 10:

    - Joe Rogan Experience (general interest with a slant towards health, politics, MMA etc)
    - Marketing Secrets (marketing/sales/entrepreneurship)
    - Heavy Hands (MMA/combat sports)
    - Invest Like The Best (investing/tech)
    - Tropical MBA (digital entrepreneurship)
    - Ben Greenfield Fitness (health, biohacking)
    - History on Fire (history)
    - Freedom Fastlane (entrepreneurship, tech)
    - Salesman Podcast (sales)
    - The Sounding Board (AFL/sports media)

I'm always on the lookout for a new show to listen to so fire away with your favourites and recommendations.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Mostly history-This Sceptered Isle, Rex Factor, History of England, Anglo Saxo England, Stuff You Missed in History Class, Invisible History, In Our Time.

Sport-the Tuesday Club, Men in Blazers, the Ticket, World Football. One that has old baseball radio commentaries from the 1940s and 50s

Politics-the Party Room, Late Night Live, the Conversation Hour, The Amazing POTUS: Presidential Showdown, Insiders

And a couple of quaint ones like No Such Thing as a Fish, Turned Out a Punk, I Love Green Guides Letters, Answer Me This, American Story and the infinite Monkey Page.

      They keep me mostly sane.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Dan Snow History Hit is pretty good, also In Our Time. This American Life obviously.

Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History is really interesting.

My Dad Wrote a Porno is very funny but I think I've reached my limit now.

There's also Chat 10, Looks 3 with Annabel Crabb and Leigh Sales if you don't mind hanging out with ladies.

I've only gotten inro Podcasts recently, here are my favourites:
Dan Carlin's Hardcore history - just an amazingly constructed and presented history series. His 6 part 20 hour WW1 series Blueprint for Armageddon is top shelf.
Waking Up with Sam Harris - a mix of philosophy, neuroscience, futurism, politics, religion.
Very Bad Wizards: An often irreverent discussion on philosophy, psychology and a mix of pop culture.
No such thing as a fish. Lighthearted trivia and facts presented by some of the QI series researchers.
After on. A series of interviews and discussions with experts in various fields on topics about technology, and society.

Dan Carlin is very good. I remember his take on what would have happened if Harold had won at Hastings and not William

Technically not a podcast but Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura could well be the greatest TV show of all time.

"I'm Jesse Ventura. I've been a mayor, a Governer, a Navy SEAL and a fighter. I've seen things that would BLOW YOUR MIND! And now i think it's time you got to know the real truth"

As I say. Greatest. TV. Show. Ever!

Saw that thread but keeping it to just 'entertainment' podcasts limits the recommendations, though it looks like I'm the only one here boring enough to listen to business podcasts

I've listened to the first couple of episodes of Childproof by Tony Martin and Geraldine Quinn. As someone who has a pup, it's a cheeky and quite funny poke at those of us who have kids.

The Wheeler Centre also has some really good episodes - they podcast a lot of their events after the fact. The John Clarke Memorial was an excellent listen.

I also follow the Stupidly Small podcast. Ex RRR breakfast presenters chatting about whatever takes their fancy. Quite possibly an acquired taste.

I've been to a couple of those wheeler centre talks. One with Hugo Race and one very memeroble one given by someone I've promptly forgotten.

Which ex-RRR presenters are you talking?

Stewart Farrell and Lorin Clarke, they started it the week after they were unceremoniously dumped from the Breakfasters.

Far out I'm getting old. I can still remember Stratos and Chris the original Breakfasters from back in the day. To be fair it was memorable radio because station management assuming that most RRR listeners wouldn't be listening to the radio at that time in morning let them do anything that came into their heads.

The interview with TISM standing on a local football oval 100 metres apart from one another using megaphones was a real highlight.
