    Vale Mean Gene.

Poor old Mean Gene Okerlund died. I reckon I liked the interviews in the WWF in the '80s the best. Thursday night on channel 10 Mean Gene would talk to Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Rowdy Roddie and Mr T as they came and went from the ring and it was great television.

    Condolences to the family
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Mean Gene was an icon from the halcyon days of pro wrestling. Vale great man.

Nothing beats his riffing with The Iron Shiek - https://youtu.be/fL1aM4oeRYs

He was the best straight man in the business.

I am wearing my Nikolai Volkov T-shirt out of respect for "Gene Mean" (that's what the Iron Sheik always called him)

Guys like Hogan, Flair and Piper were absolute guns on the microphone, and Mean Gene elevated them to a new level when he conducted interviews. An irreplaceable legend of the business.
