The Best or Single Most Favourite Song With Just A Name - Female & Male

I think this is the hardest such thread I've started.

Female: The Beatles have many that fit the category. The Stones with 'Angie'. 'Lola', need I say more. Amy Winehouse's 'Valerie'. 'Billie Jean' by MJ. But at this point I can't go passed 'Evie', parts 1, 2 & 3.

Male: '(Hey) Jude' as an all time classic. Pearl Jam's 'Jeremy' as a more modern classic. 'Errol', by Aussie Crawl. But I like the story telling and mix of Eminem & Dido in 'Stan', so that gets my nod.

I know I've missed about 1,000 iconic songs.

Great thread. Valerie was actually written and sung by the Zutons.

Off the top Deanna & Stagger Lee by Nick Cave.

White Stripes covering Jolene by Dolly Parton shows the lyrically darkness and pain.

Great thread bulldogtragic, so many great songs come to mind.

And there's already been so many already nominated.

There are 2 'Alisons'. The Pixies and Elvis Costello.
2 Valeries. The Monkees and Amy Winehouse

Emily by Hot Chocolate is a beautiful song

Amanda by Waylon Jennings, another tear jerker.

Basia by the Painters and dockers. Great punky anthem.

Stephen by Alice Cooper, off the welcome to my nightmare album is a brilliant song, in fact that album is a totally underrated classic.

Sebastian by Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel is a truly haunting song.
Everyone knows 'Come up and see me make me smile' but Steve Harley put out a whole string of amazing albums in the 1970's. He was a genius.

Joey by concrete blonde is a great song.

There's a great duet. 'Candy' by Iggy Pop and Kate Pierson (B52's)

Some light pop jingles. Julie by Bobby Sherman and Julianne by 'Kenny'

                    Julia. John Lennon

                    Shandi. KISS.

                    Diana. Paul Anka.

                    Delilah. Tom Jones. Wow.

Lucille. Little Richard. What a cracker!

Eleanor by the Turtles is a beauty.

                    someone stop me.............PLEASE.

Eloise. Barry Ryan. Later covered by the Damned.
But the Barry Ryan version is vastly superior.
