    Congrats Paulie.

Well known Melbourne musician and journalist Paul Stewart has been awarded the Order of Australia Medal for services for his service to the community and the performing arts.

Paul lives in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, barracks for the bulldogs and I am proud to call him a friend.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Paul was laying in a hospital bed at death's door desperately hoping for a suitable liver to be donated. But the doctors had pretty much told him that it was a hopeless case and to prepare for the worst. A nun from East Timor sat with him, took his hand and said that she would contact the other nuns in East Timor to pray for him to get his liver. The next day the surgeon walked in and said "You are the luckiest bloke on the face of the earth-a suitable liver has just become available." Paulie has loved the nuns ever since.

He told me the story of his brother and Balibo one night. You've met me-I'm a tough *!*!*!*! but I had to excuse myself and go outside to bawl my eyes out.

Great stuff by Paulie, I'm looking forward too and off to see the Dockers in a fortnight.
