Indonesian Road Trip - following the Bulldogs.

As some of you may know since 2008 I have spent 4 - 6 months a year in Indonesia during the months from March to October. So, I have missed out on seeing many live games. So, whenever I'm in Indonesia the chance of seeing a game on TV is not to be missed.

Here's a piece I wrote 9 years ago that was picked up and published on a U.S. website called "Many, Many Adventures". I just re-discovered it when I was freeing up space on Google so if you like travel and the Bulldogs - enjoy.

Sounds like a great lifestyle merantau. Travel and the bulldogs are 2 of my favourite things.

Now tell me. How do you fund such a lifestyle??

I hope you will be in town to watch the finals this year.

Indonesia is a mess at the moment with daily infections and death is running pretty high, so not a place to be at the moment.

I'm happily retired. I had a part-time job in Oz until 2017 and the pension goes a lot further in Indonesia than it does in Bendigo!

Yes, you are right. The situation is grim. We've actually been back for the last two years due to Corona. So happily we will be able to get to the Grand Final - provided we have crowds!
