Was accosted for being mean spirited, but it didn’t sit right with me at work today when the acknowledgment of country was immediately followed by a request for a tribute to the Queen.
I noticed they held back on tributes during the AFLW games because it is indigenous round. But proceeded with them in the mens game. Fair enough.
I’m processing what it means. Feels significant, end of an era. Perhaps the start of the end of the monarchy.

Nah you're good I reckon. People may like the Queen as a personality but I doubt what she symbolizes and the institutions she represents/benefit from look so great to our First Nations citizens. On a similar note the Irish have reacted in a very Irish manner to the news as well
Yeah, it's OK to respect her as a person in some ways and also think some elements of her personality aren't great, or the institutions she represents are repulsive.
In fact it's better to be that way rather than being in for or all against.
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Surely the time for logical discussion has passed and now is the time for senseless bickering?
It's almost like you're suggesting that things aren't always black and white!
Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell
Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath
Watching the post Ch7 footy coverage of the QE2 death and Charles coronation double header and it's almost as weird as the Ch7 footy coverage, but not quite.

One off Australia wide public holiday announced to mourn the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - Thursday September 22nd.
Which is fantastic for those based in Melbourne, but for the rest of us, this is the second last day of term in Perth ... wrong day for a public holiday. Keep it on the Monday where it was first touted to be.
