I've also worked out in the East for 25 years.

Personally I love that Mount Waverley area. Can't go wrong there close to freeway, trains, Chadstone although I've always lived on the other side to be close to parents.

I'd say you can't go wrong with Williamstown, or Yarraville on the other side of the freeway also.

    Willy is my pick.

Funnily enough we backed out of that purchase and the day we would have had settlement we signed a contract on a new place in Carrum Downs. Better house, better area, we think for under market value. Pretty happy about it as long as finance comes through.

I like both Yarraville and Willamstown. Know the inner west roads now very well.

I like getting to Williamstown from Footscray via Hyde Street/Douglas Parade although lots of works going on there now near the West Gate with the West Gate tunnel.

Have driven down to Werribee before as well and the north west Caroline Springs and surrounds etc.

Vermont South in the east is where I grew up mainly which is not far from Mount Waverley.

As of today the bed in the Masters is now built and the mattress sitting on top of it. I think that's the last major piece of the new house sorted. The dog is loving Carrum Downs but more specifically having a nice yard to run around in.

Took a false start with another place (the Hampton Park one that started this thread) but I think as of today we're pretty settled in.

                          That must be a relief?

Apparently also the Carrum Downs IGA is really good.

I didn't read the bad news thread to see that your offer on Hampton Park fell over!

                            Congratulations.

Have friends in Carrum Downs, they like it!
                            TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
