    Re: Video Game Thread

I'm not a hugely active gamer, but enjoy a bit of the old Mario Kart on 64. I've been playing quite a bit of FIFA on the PS2 lately too.

One game I am interested in purchasing is the AFL Manager game (not sure what it is called) that I read something about earlier in the year. I think it's only on PC though.

Has anyone heard anything about it, or played one of the previous versions?

      Re: Video Game Thread

I have a Wii that broke some months ago. My dad took charge of getting it sent back which is why the progress is so slow.

Have the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, 64 and Gamecube.

One day I'll build a museum.

Haha i feel the same. My room is a museum with the consoles

I have Mario Party 3 on Nintendo 64 which is 'rare' these days and on ebay sells for $50-$70 alone. Im sitting a minature gold mine

        Havent heard anything about this?

Last AFL game they released i think was AFL Premiership 2007? released in 2006

I hope they do make another AFL and Cricket game for the next-gen consoles. I have most of the versions of the old ones, AFL Live 2003, 2007, Cricket 2003 & Ricky Ponting's Cricket

Yes, I have the 2007 AFL game. This is something different.

I've just googled it and found a few links, this first one I think is different to the initial one I heard about, but still sounds good.

The other one is TAR (total Aussie Rules)

This one looks really good but won't be out for a while and isn't free.

I have the original mario party as well as the Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64 as games of note.

There is a player manager AFL game. Can't remember what it is though. Think 06 or 07 was last AFL official game.

Yes, this is the one I had seen. Looks like it's going to be consuming a lot of my time when it comes out.

Not too much these days, but i had my share of consoles over the years, original Atari, Coleco Vision [graphics were quite good], Tempest [cheapo crap], Super Nintendo.

Now, i just have the Mame emulator on my computer which emulates the original arcade games as they were as coin ops [not cheap rip off's], and have about 200 games on here, including the original Space Invaders [black & white, Celephane, colour etc], Pacman, Frogger, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Popeye, Kangaroo, Galaxians, Moon Cresta, Moon Patrol, even some more recent games such as some of the Capcom series, love the old school gems.

Saw someone standing in front of me buying guitar hero world tour today at JB HIFI

Noticed they had bulldog tracksuit pants on...i had my hat on so it would of been embarrasing to approach..didnt quite recognise who it was, i had a feeling it was Easton Wood

Turned out to be Jarrad Boumann...

I've got to get onto this.

I've love to play the old Street Fighter or NBA Jam.

There was a game that combined streetfighting with basketball. It was on the nintendo and you hit people instead of stealing the ball.

Have been a social gamer for years - although probably played more than my share of hours growing up.

Unlike, it seems, everyone on this board I've never really been a nintendo man, although I owned an NES for a while (for the cricket and AFL games mostly).

Had Sega MS, MegaDrive, Xbox, and currently Xbox 360. I had a Wii last year but sold it as just got bored with the lack of games. Quite like the big 'hardcore' games that 360 has in abundance. Gears of War would be the best game I've ever played - or at least my fave. Haven't got the sequel yet though.

My mate sold his Nintendo 64 and 9 Games on ebay for $151..

With seconds to go it was only $81, Ebay is great to watch snipers hit up auctions..

I have a N64 with about 10 games..with a couple being rare, with $40-60 each, so i know what im selling when i need cash, fast!
