If the actual story is as good as people say, why are they filling 30 min out of 60 with sex every week.
The first underbelly was fantastic it only showed sex relating to the story and stayed on the story line.
This is more like soft porn with the excuse to make people watch it as the McKay murder.
Im interested in the story not how many times baby Newton gets a pretend root.
Be that as it may, you probably aren't the Commercial TV only, lowest common denominator type the show is trying to appeal to in addition to those who want to enjoy a complex plot.

Given you can spell and form whole sentences, you're ahead of a good 50% of commercial TV audiences already.

Loved that series. A guy at work lent it to me after the first Underbelly series had been and gone. A must for True Crime fans.

By the way did anyone watch the Gangs of Oz show on Seven tonight? It was on Italian Mafia and had a big segment on this era that Underbelly is trying to cover or uncover with those breasts.

I only caught five to ten minutes of it ... the part where the cops were coming onto the property being lead by the youngest cop on the motorbike.

What I saw of it looked good ...

But Channel 7 cannot sprout about inaccuracies from Channel 9's Underbelly when they have quite a few themselves ...

The segment of the show I saw showed them chasing the baddies in early 1978 (just after Donald McKay's disappearance in '77) in a white WB Holden Ute... that model wasn't released until 1980

But I reiterate ... what I saw of it was good

I completely agree, what was the series thinking when they cast Newton?
I must say the hair cuts look like wigs and the moustaches and sideburns look fake too.
To me its just a very cheap and awful show, i seriously dont see how it even rates near the first one.

                    Phoenix was better.

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Episode 4 was much better than 3. At least there was story. While last episode was Overbelly this one should be Bloodbelly. Very violent and graphic.
Interesting story about the Kane brothers and Ray Chuck.

It's not bad, although a lot of it is over done & not the truth.

A lot of things they have just guessed upon, because some people accused didn't speak to the Police about anything.

I believe it was shown for the first time in NSW last November.

Agree with most posts , this is nowhere near as good as the first series.
each episode has been stretched out with gratis sex scenes.
Trimbole wouldn't have been as big a goose and can't stand Newton.
Blue murder still miles ahead off both under belly's.

I enjoyed the Blue Murder series, it was well presented and more true to the facts than Under Belly. But growing up in Melbourne I remember the stories behind both Under Belly series more vividly and therefore have a greater affinity to these series than Blue Murder
