    Re: Musicals

The last 2 I saw was Shane Warne: The Musical and Keating! - both were very enjoyable.

I got dragged along to Priscilla by the better half, but I had a good time.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

So if we had a thread on the best red wine and not beer, would that be gay too?
Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023

Not Red , but if it was white wine then it might be a touch butch.

I love musicals! Here is a list of what I have seen (and what I can recall):-

                  Wicked - x 2 in Melbourne x 1 in San Francisco
                  The Lion King - x 1 Melbourne x 1 West End x 1 Broadway
                  Billy Elliot - Melbourne
Phantom of the Opera - x 1 Melbourne, have to admit I wasn't a massive fan
                  Rent - x 1 Melbourne
Beauty and the Best - x 1 Melbourne
                  Annie - x 1 Melbourne
                  Shout - x 1 Melbourne
                  Dusty - x 1 Melbourne

Will be seeing Jersey Boys in August and am looking forward to it.

Shout was excellent, I'm looking forward to Buddy Holly.

Beauty and the Beast was pretty good, I have a vague memory of seeing The Wizard of Oz at the Arts Centre but was too young to really give it a thumbs up or down.

Jersey Boys looks like it will be good.

                        It's Julian Clarey!
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Saw it last Sunday (day of the Saints/Cats game). Took the girlfriend for her birthday. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Its a brilliant show - lots of fun. Bit of a man musical - not too much prancing around - just good songs, sung well, good dialogue, very funny and I love the jersey accents.

If you're thinking about it - absolutely go and get tickets.

I have seen Jersey boys also highly recomend it it is a bit slow at the start but really goes off half way through the first act the second act was exellent it seemed to go for 5 minutes it was that good.
I hope I can get tickets to Buddy but it is at Crown and I have never been there for a show is it good ??
