WWF and all the wrestling days of old

I was just watching a fox channel and they were replaying old wrestlemanias, brought back some old memories from Mario Milano and Spiros Arion to Junk Yard Dog and Hulk Hogan.
I was a big fan of the old festival hall days and Sunday arvo watching Jack Little go about his funny ways.
From the great EJ to Gus Mercurio it was fun to watch as a child.
Wrestling the old man to jumping off the bed.
I am posting this hoping to bring back some old names and memories, i did go to a few, highlight being Haystacks Calhoun doing the slam on Bulldog Brower and breaking the ring.
Big Chief Little Wolf and his daughter Markita singing,
Texas McKenzie taking on the midgets,
Does anyone have any names or fond memories of these times?
Was it George the Animal Steel who ate the turn buckles?

It was George the animal Steele. I loved the old WWF days. Brutus the Barber Beefcake, Bret Hitman Hart, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Dino Bravo (the French Canadian American's loved to hate) and the Ultimate Warrior. Jimmy Superfly Snuku was another favourite. Demolition Ax and Smash were my favourite tag team combo. The best memories I have of Wrestlemania would have to be when Macho Man Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan split and fought it out in Wrestlemania IV (I think). I used to love watching The Macho Man and his interviews with the Lovely Miss Elizabeth. Ohhhh YEAH!

Im a 2000 onwards wrestling fan..I do know those wrestlers mentioned above but havent seen a lot of older stuff. Love Bret Hart, his dvd set is awesome.

I still watch it on a regular basis, unfortunately its really average at the moment. But Wrestlemania 25 had a great Shawn 'HBK' Michaels vs The Undertaker match..it was unbelieveable. The company is struggling with good storylines/matches as both those men have been out since WM.

I'm a fan since I was a little kid. Have gone off it in recent times, but as a kid what a thrill it was to stay up watching wrestling...

Rusty Brooks? He was the easybeat for a long while in the earlier days.

How about Australian grappler OUTBACK JACK ??? At the time, I couldn't believe that his hometown of "Humpty Doo" was an actual place! Or NZ neighbours, Butch and Luke - THE BUSHWHACKERS!

The Missing Link, with his weird hair and face paint.

Koko B Ware, and his pet bird, Frankie.

And that nerdy manager with the kind of Elvis look, big glasses and a scrawny fella.

Lately they have had a little irish man running around, hiding under the ring etc, to take this serious is amazing, only in America as they say.

I remeber JYD used to come out to a Queen song, was probably the reason he was my favourite.
Big Al Ford was a fan and went once, i was on a footy trip at the time but he was kind enough to get me a JYD shirt, the merchandise was highway robbery and probably still is.

                        You forgot the best;

                        Rowdy Roddy!
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
