No idea why he was wearing it - but I remember when it aired on the ABC and 'Wheels' was wearing the old bulldogs jumper all episode.
Its one of those odd things that most of my mates remember from the show - so the comment has come up a few times: "Do you remember when Wheels wore the Doggies VFL jumper?"
Well - I have no idea if that is true or not. But it seems extremely unlikely - since the whole cast was Canadian.
No I understand that, but does anyone recall if any of the characters went on exchange to Australia etc? It's hardly a world changing mystery, but it's weird how that jersey ended on that show and it does have my curiousity piqued.
According to Wikipedia, AFL had a cult following in Canada in the 1980s. Who knew?? Still doesn't explain how he got the jumper though!
I'm intrigued too, I used to be a Degrassi fan back in the day, I'd love to know the story behind Wheels' Doggies top. I hope someone can shed some light.
Reading his Bio, more than likely his old man got it of an expat or tourist in a pub or mum picked it up at Vinnies.
Luckily he was in Degrassi high, if what was written is correct, if it wasn't for the show
I doubt he would be still here.
I never have given BF much of a look in...but that thread is pretty funny.
Reading through the channel 2 afternoon schedule, I was thinking 'don't forget Monkey Magic' and then there it was later in the thread - and the 'I thought I was gay for thinking Tripitaka was cute' calls.
